Devotionals

Devotional gatherings foster the spirit of joy, love, and fellowship among participants and are a reflective space to share the sacred scriptures from the world’s great Faith traditions. There is no ritual or solicitation of funds.

Participants are encouraged to bring their prayer books or favorite passages from scriptures to share. They may read from the Bahá'í writings, as well as from the scriptures of Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Zoroastrianism, Hinduism, etc.

Often prayers for healing, protection, and assistance are offered to those in need. Diverse music selections from a variety of cultures are also embraced.

To find one near you, check the calendar or contact us at 775-391-3233 and we can let you know the location and dates of a devotional gathering near you.

Aside from hosting collective worship in their homes and communities, Bahá'ís also practice private prayer and meditation.

The Bahá'í teachings prescribe daily prayer and intimate communion with God as the foundation for a life devoted to spiritual advancement and service to humanity.
